Tullochan has a small head office based within the Polaroid Building in the Vale of Leven Industrial Estate, Dumbarton G82 3PW. We employ four executive staff, Chief Executive, Head of Operations and Development, Finance Manager and Grant and Communications Manager who are responsible for the efficient running of Tullochan with an apprentice Office Administrator supporting the team.
June has 13 years experience in the youth work field. She was initially a volunteer with Tullochan and over the last 11 years had held the following posts within the organisation; Youth Worker, Project Co-ordinator, Senior Co-ordinator, Project Manager, General Manager and now Chief Executive .
Chris graduated from University of Glasgow in 2011 with an MA (Social Science) Anthropology/Sociology. Since then he has worked in the Third Sector in a variety of roles covering contracts, quality and performance with the most recent being with another organisation in the sector, Street League. In addition to this he has significant experience of making promotional and documentary short videos for both the Third Sector and professional football with one of Scotland‘s leading football clubs. In his role as Grants and Communications Manager, Chris is responsible for maximising income from public grant funders and private charitable trusts and foundations that will support programme work and organisational core costs. His role also includes developing and implementing Tullochan’s communications strategy and ensuring news is regularly updated on social media and external media outlets.
Richie started working at Tullochan in June 2015 not long after returning home to Scotland after 6 years living in Melbourne, Australia. In his role, Richie is responsible for managing the Youth Development team and ensuring that the Tullochan programmes fulfil the needs of the young people along with meeting funding requirements. After leaving University, Richie started as a Youth Worker in Renton before moving into the Housing and Homelessness field, both in Scotland and Australia. Prior to returning home to Scotland, Richie had a Development role within a Project Management company – a varied position that allowed him to work in Community and traditional Construction Project Management alongside an integral role in the creation and development of Accredited qualifications. Outside of work, Richie is kept busy looking after two young children and in his spare time enjoys running and listening to music and getting out to gigs. He also plays guitar and does a bit of singing.
Sam is currently on maternity leave until June 2017 . With ten years’ experience at Tullochan Sam is one of our Operations Managers who is responsible for managing the youth development team delivering S1 -S3 programmes in 5 high schools in West Dunbartonshire. Sam is extremely passionate about the work and support Tullochan offer to young people. Our trained and experienced staff offer flexible learning and interactive learning methods to engage young people of various support levels. The delivery of SQA and issue based youth based topics develops young people to help make informed decisions and offers the opportunity gain life skills.
Sharon started with Tullochan in 2004. Her main responsibilities are financial but she also supports administration, event fundraising, IT problems, acts as secretary to the board of trustees and supervises the web site. Prior to Tullochan Sharon worked in two local factories within various office posts.
Hi, I’m Callum, I started with Tullochan in August 2015 and I am currently doing a Business/Admin Modern Apprenticeship. I enjoy working here already and get on very well with all the staff. My job title is an “Office Administrator” and my duties include helping any of the Management or Youth Workers if they need assistance with admin projects they are working on or filing documents for them. In my spare time I go to the football every weekend and spend time with my friends.
