Our aim
Helping young people aged 9 - 17 to live full and rewarding lives.

Who we are
Tullochan works with young people in West Dunbartonshire - one of the most deprived areas in Scotland with many recognised areas of multiple deprivation. In the area there are a wide range of social and economic problems that have a detrimental effect on many young peoples' lives and development.

Our mission
Our goal is to create stability and sustainability in young people’s lives. We engender a CAN DO attitude. Crucially, young people learn that all their skills and personal qualities are transferable, giving them better lives and more opportunity to move into further education, training or employment.

What we do
We work in partnership with local schools, police, community groups and relevant agencies; we offer a wide range of activities, across all our projects, to enable young people to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and enterprising contributors to society.

Tullochan truly does change attitudes and change lives.

Tullochan was set up in 1996, with an anonymous donation of £1,000, as a living memorial to Brigadier Alastair Pearson CB, DSO***, OBE, MC, KStJ, TD. The Colonel, as he was always known, was much-loved and respected, was one of the most decorated men in World War II and he exemplified and realised the value of courage and leadership: he also had total faith in, and commitment to, young people. His daughter, Fiona Stuart, the founder continues this dedication to young people through her active and visionary leadership.

Charles Rooney, Head Teacher, Our Lady & St Patrick’s High School: "Tullochan is supporting some of the most vulnerable young people in our school community. Through skilled intervention in group work, the awareness of young people is being successfully heightened. Transforming attitudes takes time and expertise, and the involvement of Tullochan offers both. Without their support, these young people will struggle to handle the pressures on them."
