About us

Tullochan is a youth development charity based in West Dunbartonshire. We support hundreds of young people each year, age 5-25, through a range of bespoke programmes within Primary and Secondary schools, as well as tailored support through the Tullochan Training Academy, including work placement opportunities, personal development programmes and drop-in groups.

Many young people who engage in our services face multiple barriers which impact their education, here at Tullochan we aim to break those barriers, allowing young people to develop and grow.

Our History

Tullochan was founded in 1996 by Fiona Stuart MBE DL in memory of her father Brigadier Alastair Pearson DSO, OBE, MC, KStJ, TD. This was made possible by a donation from a mourner at his funeral. The Colonel, as he was always known, was much-loved and respected. He was one of the most decorated men in World War II and exemplified the value of courage and leadership; he also had total faith in, and commitment to, young people.

Since its formation Tullochan has gone from strength to strength, adapting to meet the needs of the local community. In 27 years, we have supported over 19,000 young people providing opportunity and positive pathways and now engage with over 1000 young people each year.
